Before Covid-19 West Africa’s aviation industry had problems occurring in the aviation industry. Currently the biggest markets in the region is mostly by dominated Nigeria and Ghana regarding aviation. With a growing middle class in Africa, there are indicators that the aviation industry in West Africa will experience a tremendous growth. Africa is set to become one of the fastest growing regions for aviation in the next 20 years with an annual expansion of nearly 5%, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Carriers is adding more routes on the continent and scaling up their operations with mergers and partnerships. These indicators are backed up by Turkish Airlines, who has tripled the number of African cities it serves – from 18 to 56.
